What Are Hemroids

What Are Hemroids

They  are a real pain to deal with (no pun intended). The good thing about them, however, is there are many ways to help treat them but they are just not something that people feel comfortable talking about or asking ” What Are Hemroids“.

Hemroids are basically inflamed veins around or inside the rectal area that have ruptured which is why they do not heal completely. With time the hemorrhoid gets bigger as it fills up with blood and starts to itch, sometimes even cause pain and discomfort to sit.

Hemorrhoids are one of the most common disorders and affect millions of Americans and others worldwide.

Hemroids are lumps or masses of tissue in the anus, which contain enlarged blood vessels. They can occur inside the anal canal (internal hemorrhoids), where they primarily cause the symptom of intermittent bleeding, usually with bowel movements.

Constipation combined with the increased pressure on the rectum and perineum is the primary reason that women experience hemorrhoids. The  blood vessels but swollen and are located in and around the anus and also the lower rectum which stretch under pressure.

A good analogy is the common problem of varicose veins in the legs. This swelling ad the increased pressure can be a result of straining when trying to move the bowel.

They are very common in both men and women and about half of all people have them by age 50. Hemorrhoids are both inside and above the anus (internal) or under the skin around the anus (external).

Even though it is a health problem that is extremely common, it’s a health issue that is not spoken about often, because most people find it embarrassing and understandably it’s not a dinner topic. However it is important to know what are hemroids.
